The #sportsgeektrip has started. I arrived in Los Angeles yesterday morning after a long flight from Melbourne.
One of the mottos of this trip was going to be “Anything is Possible!”, thanks to Kevin Garnett for not quite getting the Adidas slogan “Impossible is Nothing” quite right.
However, after a night out fighting off jet lag I found myself out a comedy club with some Texas Longhorn fans in town for the BCS Championship Game. What we didn't know was that Rob Schnieder was on the bill trying out new material. He got some laughs but it was like Jerry Seinfeld in the documentary Comedian where comedians learn to throw away so many jokes “to find the funny”.
So now the #sportsgeektrip motto is “You can do it!”.
