10:07:42 From Tim Mullaly : Won the NRL (rugby) premiership @Bronson

10:07:47 From Tayah Bot : Storm won the NRL Premiership on Sunday night 🙂

10:08:22 From Bronson Mokabela : Congratulations…

10:08:24 From Tim Mullaly : Nice Rennie, worked with the big man over at AFL

10:08:41 From Phil Cotton : @Corey, missing the London rain yet??

10:08:58 From Corey Kirby : @Phil, its 36 degrees here so yes I am!

10:18:03 From Bronson Mokabela : QUESTION: What is the general trend in your markets from the brand side? Are they requesting reductions on their sponsorship, or is there more spend and appreciation of digital?

10:19:02 From Darren Anderson : In our group – Interesting hearing @Tim's journey towards Touch Football owing their digital broadcasting platforms more

10:19:56 From Tod Caflisch : And more accountability with digital, more data collection

10:21:26 From Tim Mullaly : Great call Tod – have seen many of our clients get a lot smarter with their data collection – and look to learn more about their fan base

10:24:27 From Charles Reynolds : Digital and social (or broadcast visible) as best make goods possible. Many brands and agencies will want to see performance metrics compared to what they signed on for.

10:26:46 From Tim Wyld : brands have more power in negotiations and are keeping rights holders more accountable

10:30:20 From Bec Bruhn : Agreed with @Loren. Our golf tournaments have been cancelled this summer, so needing to work through engagement and stats through digital channels being much lower in comparison to when golf tournaments would be being played! So shifting focus to the content we can produce in place of this.

10:32:31 From Corey Kirby : Make goods are important for the short-term but rightsholders needs to be careful not be lower their digital asset value for future negotiations

10:38:13 From Charles Reynolds : @Corey – great point, these should raise the bar on asset values moving forward (pending the ability to better control saturation!).

10:40:04 From Tim Mullaly : North Melbourne were doing some awesome inner sanctum experiences into team meetings with coaching group for their inner sanctum members – would have been an amazing insight

10:41:59 From Charles Reynolds : 99%+ of fans don’t make it to the stadium – for sure remote engagement will only increase.

10:42:21 From Sean Callanan : Here is the Lockerroom app – https://joinlockerroom.com/

10:42:34 From Brian Borowsky : Great point Corey. Need to not slip into previous behaviours – extend the experience across the weekend and outside of gameday

10:42:47 From Darren Anderson : The interstate engagement you mentioned in your example will be a big benefit for federated models. A big issue for peak bodies with lean budget is spreading access to things such as coach development activities across all states – Zoom has and will help remove those geographical barriers which will assist State/National relationships

10:47:38 From Charles Reynolds : To Sean’s point, personalization and customization to carve out uniqueness will help in a big way!

10:47:57 From Corey Kirby : Agree – need to know your fanbase and who you target with what.

10:48:27 From Bec Bruhn : Thanks Sean! Have to jump onto a work call 🙂 See everyone again soon.

10:48:35 From Corey Kirby : Better to send to the right 10,000 for that partner rather than 50,000 where 80% are uninterested

10:49:11 From Tim Wyld : 100% Corey

10:50:02 From Loren Hazelwood : We actually launched a Member Rewards program so our members would receive a benefit from our corporate partners. It also created a new benefit for members who weren’t able to compete using their licence and gave our partners a new way to promote their content.

10:50:03 From Tim Mullaly : Spot on Corey. Find the fan base that are interested too – use data acquisition and qualify the fans

10:50:30 From Tim Mullaly : Sounds awesome Loren – what was the offer?!

10:50:58 From Tim Wyld : sell the engagement not the total

10:52:04 From Loren Hazelwood : @Tim – Different discounts/offers from our partners, at the moment there are 10 partners involved in the program and we’ve received a great response from our members

10:54:15 From Corey Kirby : Arsenal just launched similar in the UK overnight with Barclays bank allowing for members to have “club cash” and fans to use the card for all online purchases which earn loyalty points to receive gifts and experiences

10:54:54 From Corey Kirby : https://www.arsenal.com/news/arsenal-launch-loyalty-reward-scheme

10:55:37 From Tim Mullaly : https://www.melbournestorm.com.au/news/2020/10/27/storm-hour-the-messages-from-victoria-that-fuelled-a-premiership/

10:56:27 From Darren Anderson : Just finished The Courage to Be Disliked @Sean – good read reinforcing how everything boils down to interpersonal relationships, relevant with all areas of sport being a ‘business of people'

10:57:12 From Corey Kirby : I find that clubs in Australia have on a whole handled this situation really well especially compared to overseas counterparts.

10:57:29 From Amy Wadwell : I'm currently reading ‘Life scale' by Brian Solis. Interesting read particularly if you work in digital.

10:59:31 From Dominic Remond : Thanks Sean

10:59:45 From Craig Green : SprtsHQ : Thanks.

10:59:47 From Tim Mullaly : Thanks heaps Sean – great to chat everyone. cheers

10:59:53 From Charles Reynolds : Thank you Sean and all – cheers!
